Disney’s Gargoyles property celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, Dynamite Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring classic Gargoyles collections back into print for the first time in nearly 20 years. I got a chance to speak with series creator Greg Weisman about the show’s inspirations, returning to Gargoyles in comics, and the projects he’s working on right now in the latest episode of Comics Are Dope. Greg Weisman is an American novelist, writer, producer and voice actor. He is best known as a creator of the animated series Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man and Young Justice. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s Gargoyles, and Greg and the team at Dynamite Entertainment are celebrating in a major way, by bringing classic Gargoyles comics back into print for the first time in over a decade!
